Ida Louise (Newton) Todd is now and has long been the source of so much inspiration for so many. She is the force of nature to which this restaurant seeks to pay some small honor and homage. 

In her youth, her enthusiasm for music saw her join the school marching band, one thing led to another, and Ida earned the nickname Ike. Ike eventually became Ikie, and Ikie eventually became 'Ikie Lu'. Ike played drums, gut-bucket, and sang, and was the life of supper club, fish camp party, or picking session she happened to grace with her presence. She made one hell of a Tom-Collins and a mean chocolate sheet cake.

A spirited and charming woman of class, 'Ikie Lu' treated others with respect, celebrated good food, good wine, better friends, and above all else good music. We hope to promote a convivial but tasteful environment in which fellow epicureans can join us in our effort to make Ikie Lu proud!
